Cartavio Rum comes from the city of Cartavio, located in the Chicama valley, established in 1929. This valley has an exceptional geography that is optimal for cultivating the highest quality sugarcane due to its arid climate and pure nutrient rich water source coming from the Andes mountains. Apart from having the best location in the world for sugarcane cultivation, Cartavio rums undergo boutique aging processes using a unique combination of the finest white oak barrels from France, Spain, Scotland, Slovenia and the United States.
